Patapaa Looks to Sign Up-and-Coming Kasoa Hip Hop Artist Pawel RickMhan
Ghanaian hip hop star Patapaa is eyeing a potential collaboration with up-and-coming rapper Pawel RickMhan, who hails from the city of Kasoa.
Patapaa, known for his 2017 hit "One Corner" that took the country by storm, says he has been impressed by the "good product" he has seen from RickMhan and believes the young artist has a lot of promise.
"I've been keeping an eye on Pawel RickMhan and I think he's got something special," Patapaa stated. "His sound and style really appeals to me, and I believe with the right support and platform, he could really take his career to the next level."
For RickMhan, the opportunity to work with Patapaa is an exciting one, as he's been grinding in the music industry since 2016 - around the same time Patapaa was first emerging.
"I've been doing this since 2006, around the same time Patapaa was getting started," RickMhan revealed. "But his big success with 'One Corner' really motivated me to keep going, even when things got tough. Now I'm hoping we can work together and he can help take my career to the next level."
RickMhan admitted that from his perspective, he hasn't been able to get the same level of support and assistance from other major Ghanaian artists like Shatta Wale. This made Patapaa's interest all the more valuable.
RickMhan said. "So the opportunity to work with Patapaa is really exciting and I'm hopeful we can make something happen."
Patapaa has now officially accepted RickMhan's proposal to collaborate, and the two artists have already started vibing and working together in the studio. A deal between them could provide the young Kasoa-based rapper with the resources and promotional platform to help accelerate his rise in the Ghanaian hip hop scene.
